monochromanic: One of my favourites by Cecilie Harris: Yuri Pleskun Photo Taken: “This picture of Yuri Pleskun was taken in Brooklyn, New York, September 2011 for Carbon Copy Magazine.” Taken With: Canon 5D Mark II “The shoot was styled by Carlton Jones and grooming by Pamela Barrios Badel. The shoot was done on a very warm and hectic pre-New York fashion week day, where Yuri had a really busy schedule, so we had to shoot really quickly. Yuri was still the most chilled and cooled dude ever, and gave everything I wanted and beyond. This shoot sits really close to my heart as it was such an amazing experience to shoot in New York and to work with such an amazing model as Yuri, who is such a star. An image from this shoot was also my first print cover, so a lot of great memories connected to this image.” - Cecilie Harris I love this photo for a thousand reasons.  I think it was around this time when I became really aware of Cecilie’s monochromatic style; I can usually tell which images are hers now without even seeing her name attached to them. She has such a clean concept, such white whites and such an honest simplicity to her composition.  I really appreciate it in this photo, and I love the way Yuri is standing, looking almost weary while perfectly showing off the construction of the top.
